Hi, my name is Kat and I am a Senior Accredited member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). This means I have prooved to be an experienced and fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor that works with individuals who are over 18 from my private practice in Tardebigge Court, Redditch, Worcestershire. I also offer Online Counselling sessions to anyone in the UK.

There are many unique reasons that someone like yourself is seeking counselling. Sometimes we simply cannot hear our own voice within the noise of our lives. I frequently see clients that feel pushed and pulled in all directions and this can "off-centre" our unique individuality.

I invite you to a safe, confidential environment for you to explore and make sense of your feelings which in turn can help change the way they react to your emotions. I use my intuitive nature to really hear you and connect some of the underlying dots that may have been missed by yourself or others in the past. Through our work together building a trusting and honest relationship, you are free to grow and be who you truly are without judgement. This can help you understand yourself on a much deeper level, opening up a wider perspective on your life- past, present and future and create a better relationship with yourself and others.

What is Person Centred Counselling?

Counselling That Makes a Difference

Every day we are pushed and pulled in all kinds of directions because of family, work and relationships. Sometimes things happen to us in life that can deeply affect us for whatever reason and therefore can find it difficult to open up to friends and family members about these problems. As a result, we may not be able to make sense of our behaviours and emotions on our own.

 

Counselling can help bridge the gap and reconnect you to your thoughts and feelings. By creating an empathic and trusting therapeutic relationship together, you are invited to share the innermost thoughts and feelings that may be blocking your path somehow. Maybe you do not know what is in your way and want to work through what is on your mind with someone in confidence and without judgement. My private counselling space can facilitate exploring and making sense of your thoughts and feelings. In turn, this may enable you to feel more empowered and in control of your life. Through our work together, you really are free to grow and be who you truly are.

How can Person Centred Counselling help you?

Carl Rogers, the founder of Person Centred Therapy believed that a safe unique therapeutic relationship that is built on trust and confidentiality, can be created by three main conditions: unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence.

As an experienced person-centred counsellor, I offer my clients these three core conditions to help facilitate therapeutic healing and growth. Explore with me in the following section how these three core conditions might feel to you and that if taken outside the counselling room, could help you facilitate healthier relationships with others and, more importantly, with yourself.

This empathy can help strengthen the trust within our counselling relationship and enrich your own self-awareness.

Empathy is truly a complex and profound process of being with you, understanding your feelings and experiences.

Congruence

Responding to you openly and genuinely

Congruence is about me, the therapist responding to you, the client with openness and genuine care, creating an atmosphere of authenticity, transparency, and realness in our conversations.

 

This essential condition provides a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, empowering you to be your true self without any shame or limitations.
